Museo Egizio

A transformed digital identity

When history meets the future

Museums have an international, diverse audience. Tourists, students, experts: every visitor expects something different from their visit and wants to plan it in a different way.

For this reason, it’s important that museums take into account these different needs, offering, both offline and online, a customized experience.

Well-organized information it’s every user’s dream

Museo Egizio is the most ancient Egyptian museum in the world, and in its almost 200 years of history not only collected precious relics but developed also different kinds of research and educational activities. This results in a plurality of contents and information to display to users, who can have problems to find the information they need.

For this reason, the new website has a modular structure that allows organizing contents in a coherent and simple way: this structure helps users to navigate the site.

The new Museo Egizio website has one main goal: to become an information hub about Ancient Egypt both for researchers, and for tourists. That’s why one of the 3 main sections of the website is dedicated to showcasing the 3300 relics of the Museum. Some of them can already be seen in 3D, and more artifacts will be shown with this technology soon.
