Sacmi Virtual Commissioning is a strategic project that aim to digitize the testing phases of the Sacmi Group’s machinery tools, and complex production lines.

SACMI Group operates globally with over 80 companies specialized in production, distribution and service, active in 27 countries. The project began with a first phase of research analysis, with interviews with internal users and customers from all over the world. The aim was to study the different workflows present in the 7 Sacmi business units and define the guidelines for the management of FAT and SAT.

The second phase of the project led to the creation of a Virtual commissioning web app for the virtual testing of machinery. Then a Direction app, which generates a stream of multiple webcams connected both via USB and Onvif protocol. Vonage, Enhancers’ partner and world leader in video solutions, was chosen for webRTC communication, guaranteeing distribution to and from Europe, the USA and China.

The commissioning web app allows the user to monitor the entire life cycle of an order. Through the creation of an order management platform, integrated with the company ERP, we have enabled Sacmi to manage multi-user and multi-camera audio and video streaming in real-time in different countries, including China.

The Direction app allows you to manage the layout of all the required shots. It offers a tailor-made experience that meets the needs of the interlocutor, such as managing the zoom and direction of some cameras to offer a detailed view to replace the physical encounter. In addition, at the end of the session, we offer the opportunity to record the video and use the recording in indexed mode, optimizing navigation by key points and making the experience more efficient, also in terms of building a lasting relationship with the customer.
